An Post have confirmed that they will be offering free delivery to nursing and care homes across the country.
According to Dublin Live, the new initiative is being introduced as the country looks set to go into tighter Covid-19 restrictions.
An Post say they will deliver letters and cards to homes across the country.
The post service also say residents at care facilities will also be able to send letters and cards at no extra cost.
People wishing to send cards or letters to homes are being advised to write FREEPOST on the envelope where they would normally place a stamp.
