Sad news this evening, as Andrew Sachs has passed away aged 86.
Born in Germany, Sachs was best known for playing the part of hapless Spanish waiter Manuel in Fawlty Towers, opposite John Cleese.
It is understood that he had battled dementia for four years before his passing.
