Today’s anti-lockdown protest is set to get underway in Cork at around 2pm.
The organizers, The People’s Convention, insist that it will be a peaceful protest with ‘minute’ risk of violence.
A large Garda presence is expected in and around the city centre nevertheless, following violent incidents at a similar protest in Dublin last weekend.
