A 36-year-old Irish woman has been gang raped in Gran Canaria after approaching a group of North African migrants in a sympathetic attempt to ask them about their situation.
It is alleged that the Irish woman started a conversation with the group of men from the Maghreb while walking through the Agua La Perra park in the town of Mogan, but she attempted to virtue signal her concern for their plight they attacked and gang raped her.
After the all too familiar case of do-gooder naiveite backfiring horrifically, the woman quickly visited a local doctor who informed the Guardia Civil and the four alleged rapist migrants were arrested a short time later El Periodico reported.
The doctor who examined the Irish woman compiled a detail report of her injuries which was presented as evidence to police who have since charged the four men with rape and assault.
