There are reports this morning of an impromptu anti-water charge protest staged by residents of the Riverview Estate in Ballyvolane, Cork.
An eight-strong contingent is enforcing a blockade to the estate, in an attempt to prevent Irish Water from carrying out metering work.
According to them, they will continue the fight for as long as it’s necessary, and they expect protester numbers to grow as they day goes on.
