Wimbledon, the All-England club tournament gets underway today with Novak Djokovic the favourite to lift the title once again.
Meanwhile, the elder statesman of the even, Roger Federer plans on having something to say about that.
Possibly the most majestic player to ever grass the grass court tournament, Federer is coming to the 2021 Championships in good stead but not on a winning streak as he lost last week unexpectedly.
However, there’s something a little special about the greatest centre court in the world and Roger Federer always rises to the occasion.
Wimbledon didn’t take place in 2020 due to the pandemic with organisers pocketing over £200 million in insurance money, thanks to Tim Henman’s idea to cover the tournament against a pandemic.
Some spectators will be allowed but nowhere near capacity.
Coverage starts today at 10:30am on BBC 2. Enjoy!
