An “unidentified, 46 year old, male, French national” waving a knife has been arrested after threatening tourists near St Peter’s Basilica. The suspect had another eight knives concealed in his backpack reports the Sun. The now usual official statement about the suspect being “psychologically evaluated” has been issued by the Police.
The incident took place Friday at around 5pm near St. Peters Basilica, the centre of the Catholic Church and close to the residence of the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
At one stage the suspect pushed a kitchen knife into the face of a woman who was sitting at a local café yelling “I’ll kill you all” and spitting on others at the location.
