On the 29th anniversary of Jo Jo Dullard’s murder and disappearance in November 1995, the GardaĆ have issued an information request, reports RTE.
Ms Dullard flew to Dublin on November 9, 1995, and spent the evening mingling at Harry Street’s Bruxelles Bar.
After missing her final transport to Kilkenny that night, she took a bus to Naas, Co Kildare, at 10 p.m., with the intention of hitch-hiking the remaining distance to Callan, Co Kilkenny, reports RTE.
At Kilcullen, County Kildare, Ms. Dullard caught a ride from Naas to the slip road on the M9 highway. She took another ride to Moone, Co Kildare, at around 11.15 p.m.
At 11:37 p.m., Ms. Dullard called her friend Mary Cullinan in Moone, reports RTE.
Ms. Dullard informed Ms. Cullinan during that conversation that she was going to take the lift since a car had stopped for her.
This was Jo Jo Dullard’s final known encounter.
A missing persons inquiry was started after Kathleen, Ms. Dullard’s sister, reported her missing on Friday, November 10, 1995. When Ms. Dullard vanished, she was 21 years old.
“That day she went to Dublin, our lives changed forever,” said Kathleen, Ms. Dullard’s sister, in reference to her absence. We must bring her home; she is somewhere out there, reports RTE.
“After all these years, I think she deserves to be brought home and laid to rest beside mam and dad. Every one of us wants to see Jo Jo brought home. Somebody has information out there, we would ask them to look into their hearts, to please find the strength and the courage to come forward and help us bring Jo Jo home,” she added, reports RTE.
