A well-deserved plaque commemorating the beloved Irish actor Dermot Morgan was unveiled in Dublin yesterday evening.
The plaque, erected by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, is located at McGuire’s Mount Merrion Stores on Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion, where the actor grew up.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by the actor’s sons and his baby grandson, Dermot.
Dermot Morgan passed away back in 1998 after suffering a heart attack. Co-star Frank Kelly, who played the lecherous and hard-drinking character of Father Jack, died in February 2016, 18 years to the day after Morgan’s passing.
