The top baby name for a little bundle of joy has been revealed. Polls from nine countries across the world including, Mexico, Italy, Russia and France has found that Sophia or Sofia (depending on which way you’d like to spell it) is the top name for a little girl and James and Charlie are the tops for boys.
Laura Wattenberg, a naming expert says:
“It just blew me away that so many different languages and cultures would arrive at the same sound at the same time. I guess that really says something about the way culture is transmitted today.”
Popular names still include all Biblical names, but fashionable TV Shows are seeing their lead characters have the names stolen by newborns around the world!
