Are you getting it? Close to 300,000 people expected to receive Covid-19 vaccine this week




Many people say that they experienced mild to more severe after effects from the covid vaccine, but nevertheless it appears as though it hasn’t put off another 300,000 or so people who are due to get jabbed this week.

The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has revealed that around 290,000 people are expected to receive a Covid-19 vaccine this week.

Speaking at a HSE Covid-19 briefing, Reid said the vaccination programme is progressing well and to date 3.1 million doses have been administered.

Reid said that a total of 2.2 million first doses have been administered, whilst 1.1 million second doses have also been administered.

The HSE Chief said that it is expected that a total between 250,000 and 270,000 vaccine doses will be administered this week.

He added that in the region of 270,000 to 290,000 doses will be administered this week.
