Argument left 29-year-old stabbed to death

29-year-old Eddie Fitzgerald was attacked in broad daylight after a confrontation.

The attack took place when Fitzgerald was visiting Larch Hill apartment complex in Santry. Fitzgerald had a argument with three youths at the complex which lead Fitzgerald to getting stabbed twice in his leg, once in his arm and once in his chest.

31-year-old Lisa Tyrrell at resident at the complex tried to help Fitzgerald as he lay on the ground dying. Tyrrell noticed the four having an altercation and came running with her 21-year-old niece when she seen Fitzgerald fall to the ground.

Fitzgerald was brought to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A 22-year-old man was later detained by gardai and had been questioned.
