The DUP’s Arlene Foster could be set to face leadership challenge after 75% of the party’s Assembly members have signed a letter calling for a contest.
According to The Belfast Newsletter, the DUP could be replaced as party members have expressed their concerns over Foster’s handling of the Northern Ireland protocol.
Although Foster played down reports of a leadership contest earlier today, she could potentially face a challenge as party members feel that she should have taken a tougher stance on the Irish Sea border following Brexit.
