Arlene Foster, the leader of the Democratic Unionist Party has said that she’s going to basically make hay when the sun shines and will grab this opportunity with both hands.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Ms Foster said that she’ll use her new found enhanced influence at Westminster responsibly.
No deal has yet been officially struck, but it’s understood that Ms Foster wants significant investment poured into Northern Ireland as part of the deal.
Mrs Foster said: “When I meet with the prime minister in London tomorrow, I will be mindful of our responsibility to help bring stability to the nation at this time of challenge.
“We will be working to agree arrangements that can provide the whole nation with good government.
“The DUP will work to bring about outcomes that are beneficial to all, and in Parliament Northern Ireland’s case will be centre stage.”
