Gardai investigating the finding of a human torso in the Wicklow mountains on Saturday evening have confirmed that further body parts have been found.
The new remains were located near Glenmacnass Waterfall, a short distance away from where the first grim discovery was made.
Up to 60 members of the Defence Forces are assisting the investigating Gardai, due to the rough nature of the terrain involved in the search.
Forensics experts were unable to determine whether the original remains were male or female, or how long they were there. Gardai have not disclosed whether the new discovery is linked to the earlier find, but have said that the deceased likely met a violent death.
