The government have stepped up policing around the country by deploying a number of armed gardai around a number of towns and cities during the covid-19 outbreak.

A number of armed gardai units have been deployed around Irish cities and towns in an effort to maintain public order.

Gardai believe that criminals may take advantage of the ongoing health crisis to loot closed premises around the country.

There have no major criminal incidents yet, but opportunistic and organized thieves might strike as the country shuts down.
