Armistice Day: Ceremonies held around the world to remember the fallen soldiers of WWI which ended 100 yrs ago today




Today is the 100th anniversary of the official ending of World War I.

PMillions of people around the world are marking the memory of the fallen soldiers of World War I.

Up to 70 world leaders today are gathering for a special ceremony at the l’Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is among those attending the main ceremony in Paris while a huge ceremony will take place in Westminster near 10 Downing Street.

At 11am, bells will ring out around the world in various locations to mark Armistice Day.
