As the country remains under Level 5 lockdown restrictions and health officials try and determine how best to fight the pandemic, including new variants from Brazil, at least 2,000 Brazilians flew into Ireland in the past two weeks.

It’s not yet known whether the people who flew in were forced to get tested or quarantined, but The Liberal understands that the vast majority of those who flew into the country were brought in to work.

With Irish residents forced to stay within 5km of their home, it’s absolute infuriating to see thousands of people fly into the country and appear to go where they like for work reasons.
