The European Medicines Agency is meeting later today to discuss the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
In a meeting that will determine Ireland’s and the European Union’s vaccine roll-out plans, the EMA are expected to give a decision following concerns of bood clotting.
Although no official decision has yet been made, officials in many European countries are hopeful that the vaccine can continue to be distributed.
It is believed that EMA officials are convinced that the benefits of the vaccine outweighs the risks.
The meeting comes after a number of countries including Ireland suspended use of the vaccine earlier this week following concerns over blood clotting.
