Gardai’s fears of “hoodlums, teen gangs and right-wing groups” at St. Patricks Day Anti-government protests didn’t come to pass

Gardai had issued a warning about “hoodlums, teen gangs or right-wing groups” who they feared would take part in yesterday’s anti-government protests.

Breakingingnews.ie reports on an informed Garda source saying; “There are a few unknowns: will hoodlums, teen gangs, or right-wing groups kick off? Will the protests come together and will there be any counter-protests? There is no indication of that at the moment.”

According to BreakingNews.ie sources there are “unknown” factors, including whether or not those already known to gardaí, groups of younger people or far-right groups will latch on to the events, senior officers said.

However, a number of arrests were made, but for the mostpart Gardai’s fears did not come to pass.
