A lone gunman has killed at least five people and wounded two others during an hour-long shooting rampage in the northern city of Darwin in Australia.
The gunman, who was reportedly known to police in the area, entered a motel in the city and calmly began shooting people with a sawn-off shotgun. Staff said that they heard the man was looking for someone called ‘Alex’.
There are unconfirmed reports that the gunman was shot dead outside the motel.
