Met Eireann issues Status Yellow warning for eleven counties due to heavy rainfall




It’s going to be a wet Tuesday, as heavy rain is forecast pretty much nationwide today.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, and Monaghan. The national forecaster warns of the possibility of localized flooding across those counties and elsewhere, as rain is likely to last well into Tuesday night.

The warning will remain in effect until 6am on Wednesday.
