According organisers there were been more visitors than ever before who attended this year’s National Ploughing Championships.
The news comes after figures showed that a staggering 76,000 people showed up for the final day. That figure combined with visitors attending the event during the week has set a new record 281,000, which marks a full 1,500 more people than last year.
The news of the record attendance has been welcomed by Assistant Managing Director of the Ploughing Championships Michael Mahon who said the team working behind the scenes did a tremendous job.
