Australian authorities have warned residents along the country’s northwestern coast to stay indoors as the area bakes in temperatures surpassing 50C.
Thermometers reached a record 50.7C in recent days, the highest temperature recorded in over six decades.
Scientists are once again sounding the alarm about climate change, saying that global warming is inching closer to becoming permanent and irreversible, which might have dire consequences for the human race.
