The Australian city of Perth has gone into a five day lockdown after a single case of Covid-19 was reported.
It is understood that the lockdown comes after a security guard at a quarantine hotel tested positive for the virus.
Under the new lockdown rules which will last until Friday at the earliest, people are not allowed to leave their home unless it is for essential work, medical care, to buy food or to exercise.
The restrictions which will also apply to Peel and the South West regions will schools being delayed from reopening.
The news comes as the city hasn’t reported a Covid-19 case in almost ten months.
