The death of his wife Melissa Hoskins, an Olympian and past world team winner, has led to charges against former world champion cyclist Rohan Dennis, reports RTE.
According to Australian media, Mr. Dennis attacked his wife with a car and was taken into custody.
Retired track cyclist Ms. Hoskins, who competed for Australia in the Olympics in 2012 and 2016, passed away at a hospital on Saturday night following what authorities described as “serious injuries” on her body, reports RTE.
Mr. Dennis, 33, is a former professional who won a stage in the 2015 Tour de France and the world time trials in 2018 and 2019.
