Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has insisted he “doesn’t want to change his life” despite being warned by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris that “the threat to his personal safety is real”, reports The Mirror.
He said he “not believe it would be good for the country” to get too caught up in the bubble or to stop leading a normal life.
The Fine Gael leader said he had “no intention of making concessions” to the far right or other extremist groups that have become more prominent in the past year, reports The Mirror.
“To be honest, I’ve kind of refused to change my life,” Mr Varadkar admitted, reports The Mirror.
