A Liberal Party MP in Australia has spoke out after more than 180 people were arrested in the country for starting bushfires stating, “arson is not caused by climate change”, the UK Daily Mail reported.
Liberal MP Craig Kelly sparked confrontation with other MP’s who are using the wildfires ravaging Australia as political capital to push for greater action on climate change which they are blaming for the disaster.
During an appearance on ABC’s RN Breakfast show the outspoken MP, known for his sceptical approach to climate alarmism said
“Unprecedented’ numbers of people had been arrested and charged with arson offences, he claimed. The arson is not caused by climate change”.
Mr Kelly went on to reaffirm his opinion on ‘Good Morning Britain’ telling hosts Piers Morgan and Laura Tobin that there is “no link” between climate change and the massive bushfires raging across Australia.
The backbencher MP has been condemned by many for blaspheming the accepted dogma on Climate Change with some commentators branding him a “Climate Denier”.
