Israel Folau, one of Australia’s best known sport stars, has been sacked from his club after he was caught posting anti-gay rhetoric on social media last month.
Mr. Folau, a self-professed ‘staunch’ Christian, caused uproar after he posted “hell awaits for drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists, idolaters” on his social media account.
He said that he’s ‘deeply saddened’ by the decision to sack him.
