Gardai have launched an investigation after a second stabbing incident in Cork city in 48 hours.
It is understood that a man in his 30s sustained a number of stab wounds during an altercation in the Glenryan Road area of Gurranabraher on Thursday evening. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
