A woman in Australia fell off a cliff and died on Saturday after trying to take a selfie in a very precarious spot.
38-yr-old Rosy Loomba was with her husband and son when the tragic accident occurred in Grampians National Park, Victoria, Australia, according to CNN.

They were on the Boroka Lookout, a rocky outcrop with panoramic views of the mountains and the city below.

Police said Loomba hopped over security gates and warning signs to pose for the photo on a rock when she stumbled over the edge and fell more than 80 meters (262 metres) from the cliff.

Witnesses heard Loomba scream but couldn’t do anything to help her. Police and state emergency services worked six hours to climb the cliff and retrieve her body.

The observation deck was closed for the rest of afternoon during the restoration process, but reopened to the public at 10pm.
The Belvedere is a particularly popular photo spot. A quick search for the location tag on Instagram reveals dozens of photos of people on the cliff with their legs dangling from the edge or balancing on a narrow rock near the edge. Some even filmed themselves doing hand stands and other such acts right on the edge.

Local tour guides said people keep jumping over barriers to take photos but they call them back asking them never to do this.
