The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has called an urgent meeting as the coronavirus situation quickly deteriorates in Ireland.
The meeting comes just hours before certain restrictions are eased ahead of the Christmas period.
Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan has referred to the current Covid-19 situation in the country as ‘troubling.’
