Authorities in Russia say at least 19 people have been killed and 40 more have been injured following a mass shooting and a explosion at college in Crimea on Wednesday.
The horrific incident which occurred at a vocational school in the city of Kerch, has been officially ruled as a mass murder instead of a terrorist attack.
Investigators say the attack which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, was carried out by Vladislav Roslyakov, an 18-year-old student who killed himself at the scene.
It is believed that all 19 confirmed victims of the attack were shot dead before an improvised shrapnel device exploded in the school cafeteria.
The attack also led to a state of emergency being declared in Crimea with a number of schools and nurseries being evacuated in the immediate aftermath.
Police say they are currently trying to determine Roslyakov’s motive to carryout the deadly attack.
