The disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein signed a will just two days before his death, it has emerged today.
The potential beneficiaries have not been made public, but the will is likely to spark a years-long legal battle for Epstein’s wealth, which is estimated to be somewhere in the region of $577m.
Epstein was found dead inside his cell at the Manhattan prison facility where he was being held while awaiting trial for multiple alleged sexual offences. He had apparently hanged himself, but questions were soon raised about the manner and circumstances surrounding the death.
Three prison staff lost their jobs in the aftermath of the incident.
