Holle Baby Food GmbH Serviceburo has recalled all batches of its own brand Holle Organic Millet Porridge and its Millet and Rice Whole Wheat Porridge due to the presence of ‘undesirable’ plant constituents.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have issued a warning for consumers here to not use any of these products, and discard them immediately if they have them at home.

The company have stressed that there are no long-term health effects stemming from the consumption of these products, but short-term adverse effects may occur. Among these, dilated pupils, change of heart rate, dryness of the mouth, constipation, urinary retention, and flushed skin have been noted.
