Facebook have confirmed that they have fully restored their main and Instagram following an outage on Wednesday.
The company sat a number of users in North and South America as well users in Europe and Japan experienced outages for more than 24 hours.
It is understood that the main cause of the outage was a server configuration outage.
However in an announcement late on Thursday evening the social network said that the issue has been resolved and all services are fully operational.
Meanwhile the company said they will consider refunding advertisers on the platform who were affected by the outages.
