A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the theft of a mummified head from the crypt at St Michan’s Church in Dublin.
According to RTÉ News, the man who is alleged to have stolen the head of an 800 year old mummy known as ‘The Crusader’, appeared before Dublin District Court on Thursday evening.
It is understood the man was charged under Section 12 of the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
The man who was granted bail is expected to appear before Cloverhill District Court March 21st.
