Back to School Allowance: Social welfare recipients have started to paid €285 into their bank accounts for their Back to School allowance

The government will start paying people who are eligible to receive a Back to School Allowance of €285 from today.

It’s understood that people will be paid the allowance today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile, people who are working, paying tax and receiving no social welfare help have been angered that some people in society will be paid a back to school allowance this week while they get nothing.

Some people on social media are quite annoyed at the fact they’ll be getting absolutely nothing next week, except caught up in traffic on their way to work, while others will be handed close to €300 to pay for things their children require to go back to school at the end of the summer.

The Back to School Allowance will be paid into people’s bank accounts next week.

Those entitled to receive the payment will see €285 added to their balance. Applications for the payment will remain open until September 30th.
