The union representing Secondary school teachers, the ASTI has confirmed this evening that a number of teachers across the country are to hold seven days of strike action from now until December.
The news of the strike action comes after union members voted overwhelmingly in favour for industrial action recently, with members deciding 80% to 20%.
The union say the strikes will take place on October 27h, November 8th, 16th, 24th, 29th, December 6th and 7th.
