PETA or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are planning to run a full-size billboard ad in Dublin of a human leg on a plate with the caption “Meat Is Murder”.
The ad is being condemned by many groups, in particular those fighting gangland crime. They claim that with so many dismembered bodies from murders over the last couple of years, PETA’s ad is in poor taste.
Meanwhile, PETA’s spokeswoman Yvonne McNulty-Taylor said: “Maybe this tragedy will cause people to think about where their meat comes from every time they sit down to eat.” She went on to say that “eating meat is eating a corpse”.
