The search for Ireland’s newest millionaire is well and truly on this morning after one lucky Lotto player won the top prize of €8.3m in last night’s draw.
The lucky win which will surely see at least one person having a bank holiday weekend to remember comes after they managed to match all six numbers plus the bonus in last night’s main jackpot.
The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 5, 19, 26, 43, with the bonus number being 24.
Although it is not yet known where the winning ticket was bought, National Lottery chiefs have revealed that the winning ticket was purchased in the South of the country.
