The BBC licence fee is to be scrapped as par of a major overhaul of the broadcaster’s funding mechanism.
It is understood that fewer and fewer people believe it worthy to pay the fee, as content is easy to find elsewhere.
The British Government will now look at other ways to fund the BBC.
