Grindr gang recorded themselves having sex with married men and then blackmailed them over the footage
A gang of men have been jailed after blackmailing two victims they met on the gay dating app Grindr.
According to the Metro, 34-yr-old Kamar Ilyas had sex with married businessmen then threatened to tell their wives.
Alongside him was Aman Khan and Khalil Chaudry who helped individually with separate men.
The gang also claimed they would share video footage of sexual encounters with the mens’ wives.
llyas, Khan and Chaudry appeared before Preston Crown Court in the UK.
The court heard how footage was recorded, photographs taken and text messages exchanged. The gang threatened to tell the wives of both men unless they handed over large amounts of cash, one of the men was told he had days to hand over £40,000.
Ilyas was jailed for 6 years and 3 months, Khan was jailed for 6 years and Chaudhry was jailed for five years and eight months.
