Storm Barney managed to put over 44,000 homes out of electricity last night, many still have no power.
The ESB are said to be working on problems this morning, mostly in the West of the country, and have said that most homes will have full power by this afternoon.
Met Eireann have issued a yellow warning again this morning with strong winds of gusts up to 125klm.
Driving and indeed walking conditions are said to be very dangerous this morning and meteorologist, Sharon Toibin said:
“Crosswinds are very strong this morning and similarly there’s a lot of lying water on B roads especially. I’d urge people to take extra care this morning”.
