The ongoing beef crisis has deepened today, after talks aimed to resolve the problem broke down with no agreement.
The basic problem is that farmers want to have the base price paid for their beef raised.
It is understood that a proposal document put forward recently did not include provisions to raise the current price, which directly led to renewed protests.
