Yes!, India has now moved to make it possible to be proud of passing wind as the country is to hold its first farting contest next week.
The unusual contest which is being held in Surat, in the western state of Gujarat, is the brainchild of Yatin Sangoi who says he wants to normalise passing wind.
Sangoi who was speaking to VICE, said he came up with the idea whilst watching a movie with his family.
The optimist who is hoping to normalise farting, said that his family helped him come up with the idea after they said he would clearly win if there was a contest for it.
Speaking to VICE, Sangoi also said that he wants to make people feel less ashamed for passing gas as it become sophisticated with more people feeling ashamed for letting one go in public.
