There was some sad news announced in the entertainment world as the actor Charles Grodin, sadly passed away at the age of 86.
Grodin, who is best known for his role as George Newton in the Beethoven movies sadly passed away at his home in Wilton, Connecticut.
The news of his death was confirmed by his son Nicholas who told The New York Times that his dad died following a battle with bone marrow cancer.
Leading the tributes following his passing, fellow actor Steve Martin said: Grodin was “one of the funniest people I ever met”.
Grodin had a number of starring roles including Catch-22 and The Heartbreak Kid.
