The City of Angels and Home to Hollywood, Los Angeles, California was the scene of an unusual burglary spree. Police officers Beverly Hills Police Department have charged Rockim Prowell with over 30 burglaries grand theft and one count of vandalism.
But, just like a plot straight out of Hollywood, Prowell, who is a black man disguised himself as a white man by using a quality face mask.
Officers investigating a string of burglaries in the affluent suburb had noticed the suspect’s mouth always appeared to be open in CCTV footage reports the Metro. This prompted the officers to consider the suspect was wearing a mask.
Prowell was arrested on May 2 during a traffic stop, with officers then finding a face mask and other items that connected him to the burglaries in his car. license plates on the car were also stolen, authorities said. A search of his home revealed more stolen items connecting him to additional burglaries.
Prowell has been released from custody and will appear in court on 25th May.
