The 21 year old from Blackrock, Dublin has made a huge improvement since being admitted to the facility.
Aoife has been battling with life changing injuries after a balcony collapsed in June at an apartment in Liberty Gardens, USA.
She is now going to begin a strict rehabilitation programme in the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Rehab facility for her brain injuries.
Already in the programme are fellow survivors Clodagh Cogley, Hannah Waters and Niall Murray.
Aoife will be receiving intensive support six days per week.
The 21 year old was one of seven Irish students injured in the balcony collapse, three of which have already returned to Ireland.
