Bertie Ahern says there will be no Government in place by the end of March as talks have barely begun

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has said that it will take some time before a new government is formed.

Ahern who was speaking on RTÉ’s The Week in Politics programme, said that the possibility of having new Government by the end of March are very slim.

The former Fianna Fáil leader also told the programme that work hasn’t really begun as all parties will be looking for a stable Government that will last.

Ahern who stated that key concerns amongst all parties include homelessness, housing and health, told the programme that talks would not only be about the present but the future as well.
